Get a Card

Tip: You do not need to create another account if you are already member of any library in the Mid-Hudson Library System or if your library account simply expired. Please give us a call at (845) 495-0655 or email clintonlib1215@gmail.com and we can sort it out for you!

For a physical library card: Please stop by the library with your ID and something with your current address on it (ex: a utility bill) to finalize things. Children under 18 must have a parent present to sign up for a library card. Visit us at:

Clinton Community Library (View on Google Maps)
1215 Centre Rd. (Clinton Town Hall Complex)
Rhinebeck, NY 12572

*We are located in Dutchess County

For immediate access: If you live within the area served by the Mid-Hudson Library System (Dutchess County, Putnam County, Columbia County, Ulster County, Greene County), you can register today to receive an online card that will give you access to streaming videos, ebooks, downloadable audiobooks, emagazines, language learning software and more. Complete this form to register for a temporary library card. Please note that it will last for 30 days and to continue using our resources once it expires, you will have to stop in and finish registering for a physical library card. Please bring an ID and something recent with your current address on it (ex. a utility bill).

How to update your library card: If you received an email letting you know your card is about to expire, or if you received the following message while accessing your account online: “There is a problem with your library card. Please see a librarian,” you can renew your card by filling out this renewal form. Please allow 48 hours for your account to be updated. You may also call the library during library hours, to renew your card over the phone.
