Staff

Carol Bancroft, Library Director
cbancroft@clintoncommunitylibrary.org

Carol is responsible for day-to-day library operations and works with the Board of Trustees to ensure that the library is meeting the needs of our community. Carol also helps manage the Global Literature Book Club. If you’re looking for a thriller, a horror novel, or a fascinating true crime read, she will be happy to offer recommendations!

Leah Arnold, Programming Coordinator
larnold@clintoncommunitylibrary.org

Leah oversees all the events and programming at the library as well as runs our social media pages (follow us on Instagram and Facebook!). She will also send you a newsletter every Monday morning to let you know “What’s Happening at CCL,” where you will also be met with a seasonal pun and a corny joke to start your week. Leah is partial to fantasy reading, but does enjoy stepping outside of the mystical world to read a contemporary or romance novel.

Susan Rohrmeier, Assistant Programming Coordinator
susanr@clintoncommunitylibrary.org

Susan Rohrmeier has been reading stories to kids since she can remember, and heads up our weekly Storytime program every Tuesday. She also manages the Tea Time Book Club and assists with other programs. Susan is a recipient of the NYS 2021 Outstanding Librarian Award, partly in recognition for 50 Storytimes shot virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic. Travel, skiing, and biking fit in between books. Words to live by, “We can do small things with great love.”

Diane Johnson, Clerk
As morning clerk, Diane performs a variety of tasks including processing requested books, shelving, adding new items to the collection and helping patrons find what they want! Last fall she expanded her role by starting the Crafts & Coffee program where patrons meet to learn a new crafting skill and visit with old and new friends – all while enjoying a cup of coffee and a cookie. While she reads a variety of fiction, if you love a good mystery, she can help!

Eric Johnson, Clerk
Eric staffs the front desk on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings, although he’s often seen covering other shifts. He helps keep the library collection up to date, culling unused material and updating the “New Items” shelves. His reading focus is non-fiction, particularly life sciences including genetics and anything to do with the natural world, although he also enjoys science fiction and some fantasy.

Samantha Campbell, Tech Help
Samantha is available every Saturday morning to assist patrons with technology questions.
