Town of Clinton Historian Craig Marshall will present the “History of the Town of Clinton” from the time of the early land grants through the present. Projected images will accompany the talk, including early maps, significant historical sites, notable people, and important events. Topics such as early roads and settlers. schooling, government, agriculture, and businesses will be reviewed.
Craig Marshall is the Town of Clinton Historian and Vice President of the Clinton Historical Society. He gives presentations on local history, develops and presents historical exhibits, and is currently working with the Dutchess County Historical Society (DCHS) on their Veteran’s Oral History Project. He is Chair of the DCHS Vice Presidents Group which is a collaboration of seventeen historical societies and municipal historians of Dutchess County. He and his wife Mary have been residents of Clinton for 48 years.
